Day 9

Last day 😔 Darwin is punching out the temp and humidity again 🥵
We had to check out of our swinging apartment and fill the day in before flying back to Adelaide.

We went out to the "world famous" Humpty Doo Hotel... frankly, I wouldn't waste your time. There was nothing special about the place or the meals. So off for ice cream 😋

We checked in early for our flight, I had my usual arvo nap on a random bit of airport floor.


Departed on time and arrived early. In a cabin tonight, picking up the campers tomorrow and getting the heck out of here and going north.

Day 26

As much as I liked the caravan park at Roma, it's time to move on. Making our way south to St George, we geocached our way to Surat. While here, it was snack o'clock. Nice little town, it's got a bit going for it. As we were nearing St George, the weather changed. The wind picked up to +50kph gusts, I'm not fighting with an awning in that. So I checked into a cabin while Bren was happy to sway in his camper. Late arvo the temp quickly dropped from 23° to 12° with a chill factor of 2.5°... nope. Happy with the cabin thanks. We were going to do a sunset river cruise but heard the ol' boys in the vans behind say it's been cancelled due to weather... off to the pub then! Accommodation is hard to get from here so having to book ahead.

Day 13

FINALLY! Bucket list ✅️ Cameron Corner. 4-hour return drive to a white pillar and a nice hamburger 😁 Back in Tibooburra we had to make a decision whether to stay there the night or start heading north toward Noccundra. There was a forecast of rain. I didn't really want to have to go back to Broken Hill and go around. So we got moving and bush camped halfway along at Warri Warri Creek.
