Day 7
Today we took a tour on an old studebaker army truck around town for a bit of local and military history. This included time at the military museum. We only had 90mins at the museum, you need at least 3 hours.
After reading and seeing what I did get through I was again gobsmacked at the scale and significance of the bombing of Darwin and left speechless at how stuffed we are today if we were to be invaded again.
This evening we went down to the waterfront for a feed of snot balls 🦪🍤 and ice cream 🍨 before a scoot up to the casino for a look see. It was packed, and blackjack was $15 min bet... I'll keep my play money thanks.
On our way out to grab a scooter to head home, we heard an all mighty crunch, without looking we knew exactly what had happened and I was quick to say "didn't hear anything!". Someone had done an illegal u-turn and took out a motor scooter. I could not have been less interested 🙄 From a distance we could see the rider was upright and walking... good! Nothing to see here. Grabbed my scooter and got out of there... oh look! A geocache 😁
